The Northern Colorado Regional Economic Development Initiative (“NoCo REDI”) recognizes that economic benefits in one community benefit all due to the interconnected nature of the regional economy. Working together allows for greater impact in the region – “We are one economy”. The objective of this collaboration is to increase the region’s economic resilience and improve the business ecosystem.
Coordinated Fulfillment
52 leads were worked regionally in 2023. Construction and supply chain challenges are creating additional delays in project completion announcements. Projects usually take longer than 12 months to complete/announce, resulting in 1 project carrying over to 2024.
NoCo REDI partners participated in multiple coordinated company visits and tours in 2023. The Northern Colorado region saw strong prospect activity within the identified regional industry clusters: Fabrication & Production Technology (MFG), Food Processing + Manufacturing, IT+, Bioscience + Medical Devices, and Plastics. There has also been an increase of activity in the Distribution and Energy sectors.
Communicate a Shared Message
NoCo REDI partners continue to work on creating and updating coordinated regional messaging, data resources, and marketing materials promoting industry in Northern Colorado. The website continues to host resources on growth industries including downloadable one-page info sheets, along with an updated regional demographic profile and refreshed cluster study.
The NoCo REDI Annual Meeting was held with in December to update private and public sector partners on the regional cooperation of the economic development community in Northern Colorado.
Regional attention was received through strategically placed ads in the 2023 BizWest Northern Colorado Market Facts publication. We continued working as a region on the Northern Colorado Rural Resilience Roadmap to drive economic relief, recovery, diversification, and long-term resilience for our rural communities.
